About Timber & Botanical
Hi, I’m Lori — founder of Timber & Botanical.
My love for nature goes back as far as I can remember. Flowers, mountains, lakes, rivers, camping, hiking, and experiences too many to recount have all shaped who I am and what inspires my work. For years, I dreamed of building a business where I could bring together my love of art and the beauty that surrounds us in the natural world.
Each piece we create is either designed from my own photography or inspired by the places I’ve traveled and the landscapes that have stayed with me. From the colors we choose to the materials we work with, nature is always at the forefront.
What sets our products apart is the care we put into both design and materials. We work with American-made slate, solid hardwoods sourced from the Midwest, handmade greeting cards, and earth-safe paints and finishes that enhance the grain, texture, and engraved detail of each piece rather than cover it up.
I’ve traveled throughout this beautiful country and experienced places that left a lasting mark on me — from seeing the sunrise in Acadia to watching the sunset over the Grand Canyon. I was married among the red rocks of the West, stood in tundra storms in the Rockies, swam in glacial lakes, and soaked in hot springs in the middle of town. Those moments deepened my appreciation for creation, craftsmanship, and the beauty that can be found all around us.
As a certified master gardener, former nurse, and lifelong animal lover, I bring a deep love of beauty, care, and purpose into everything we do. Timber & Botanical is also a Christian-based company, and our work is rooted in faith, integrity, and gratitude for God’s creation. We believe the things you bring into your home should be meaningful, well made, and created with intention.
Together with my husband Chad, we create each piece in our Pennsylvania studio using a blend of modern tools and hands-on craftsmanship. Our hope is to share a little of that beauty, meaning, and wonder through everything we make.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us. I hope you enjoy browsing and find something that speaks to you.
